This litter was a bit of a surprise. Maeve was scheduled to be spayed in May. She came into heat in March and was with Pippin. Her heat cycle was abnormally long and unusual for her. I assumed a split heat cycle. She was checked too early at our vet and there wasn't any signs of pregnancy. So of course I took down all puppy pens and prepared for her spay. A couple weeks later she was checked five days before her spay appointment and she was pregnant! So begins the mad dash to get ready for her last surprise litter of puppies!
